For my country I am doing Monaco. Monaco is the second smallest country in the world. It is less than 1 mile across.
Location Monaco is surronded by France on three sides. The other side is the Mediterranean Sea.
Monaco
Climate Monaco has a consistently mild climate all year, but the hottest time of year is July and August. The coolest weather is in January and February. There is an average of only sixty days of rain every year!
Enviroment Only one-fifth of residents of Monaco are legal citizens. The rest are mostly Itailans, or French. The people that live there are generally wealthy, as is the rest of the city. There are many yacht clubs, and casinos, making this a destination for many celebrities. There is also the famous Monte Carlo casino.
Diet People that reside in Monaco usually have a light breakfast, and heavier lunches and dinners. They eat seafood frequently because of their close position to the Mediterranean Sea. Some other foods it is common to eat are Fougasse: A type of pastry that is sprinkled with almonds and other nuts; Socca; A type of pancake; Stocafi: Cod fish cooked in sauce; and Barbagiuan: A special pastry filled with pumpkin and rice. Another food that is popular in Monaco is hard, sugary biscuits. These foods are greatly enjoyed.
Holidays The holidays that people in Monaco celebrate are Christmas, Easter, Holy Week before easter, and Carnival. Carnival is a large festival, where people dress up and dance through the streets in masts.
Houseing People live in apartments usually, because there is not much space. Made out of marble or granite, their apartments are very sturdy.
Cities
The cities in Monaco are Monaco-ville, Monte Carlo, La Condamine, Fontieille, Moneghetti, and Larvotto.
I hope you have enjoyed learning about Monaco, I know I have!
